Broadway business groups and other partners have strongly advocated for a framework of long term environmental targets under the Environment Bill, alongside the net zero emissions reduction target to help give the economy the strategic predictability it needs to plan and invest in environmental improvement. 

The design of actual targets is critical to secure a win-win for the environment and economy - and to create the momentum in the economy that we are beginning to see towards the net zero target. Broadway is therefore working with stakeholders to help define how the government can design a coherent framework of targets for air quality, nature, resources and water, reflecting the long term ambition set out the Government’s 25 year Environment Plan.
